OrCam developed the OrCam MyEye, a tiny device with a smart camera that attaches to essentially any eyeglass frame. This wearable technology enables the blind, visually impaired, and those with reading difficulties, read texts, identify products, recognize faces, and help with one’s orientation. It does this by conveying the visual information audibly.
The OrCam MyEye allows the user to enjoy the morning paper, read a book or emails and texts from your phone. It also has an interactive reading feature that reads only the text that interests you, using voice commands: “read headlines,” “read phone numbers” or “find” a specific word.

The OrCam also enables the user to recognize loved ones, friends, and coworkers, who are announced with seamless real-time facial recognition. Users can shop independently and grab kitchen items with instant product identification and barcode reading. It assists with one’s orientation by identifying objects in your surroundings (including doors, chairs, and cups), and guides you to them.
