This Startup Is Helping Autistic College Grads Thrive in the Tech Industry

This is Daivergent, a forward-thinking, compassionate startup that taps into the talent of autistic college grads and hires them to train artificial intelligence – all while helping them launch independent careers. Created by Byran Dai, who has a talented and inspiring autistic brother and his co-founder, Rahul Mahida, the company launched in 2018.

Daivergent offers a remote workforce that executes data labeling and annotation, as well as autism talent recruitment. In order to accomplish this, Daivergent has an innovative platform/HR software to connect companies to a high-quality workforce on the autism spectrum. To further this mission, tech giants such as Microsoft and Dell have also launched autism hiring programs.

An alarming statistic reportedly reveals that “only 14% of those with autism held a paying job in their community – despite the fact that 35% of students with autism attend college.” To add to that grim statistic, other data reveals “that more than 1 million people with autism will become adults in the next 10 years.”
