This Solar-Powered Car Will Self-Park in a Spot That’s Optimal for the Sun

This is the Stella Era, a solar-powered, autonomous 5-person family car that maximizes the use of solar energy by efficiently using it and sharing it with others. Developed by the Solar Team Eindhoven in The Netherlands, the Stella Era is “a charging station on wheels.”

The most impressive feature of the Stella Era is its ability to autonomously drive to a sunny parking spot. So, when you exit the car and head to work, the Stella Era will relocate to a sunnier spot where the energy gain is higher. This ensures that the car maximizes the use of solar energy that is available.

This solar-soaker is consistently chasing sunlight and therefore creating an abundance of clean energy. Another key feature is Stella Era’s “generosity” with its plentiful amounts of energy as it can directly share it with other electric vehicles. This avoids the need for charging stations as this innovative vehicle brings energy wherever it goes.
