The Singapore government is staying on top of its COVID-19 prevention as it is rolling out its third nationwide mask collection since the outbreak hit. This time around they are distributing an improved version of the reusable face mask for free through a self-service vending machine. The masks can be redeemed by scanning the barcode on each individual’s identity card.
The reusable masks consist of at least three layers of material and reportedly have a filtration efficiency of at least 95 percent – even after 30 washes. Newly-added materials to the masks are supposed to improve their resistance to droplets and also provide more comfort.
