The wheel fits almost any bike and it connects to your phone to control the hybrid boost and brake modes. The stylish red hub also contains the motor, a battery, a bike lock system and multiple sensors.
The motor gives your bicycle a 350-watt boost compared to 100 watts with pedalling to give you a top speed of 25 mph. This amplifies your pedalling to let you effortlessly climb hills with up to 30-mile range.
The technology was developed over several years at MIT and now licensed and sold by Superpedestrian. The wheel learns how you pedal and the motor automatically kicks in with 3-10x your regular foot power.
