This Portable Solar Panel Charges Your Devices and Fits into Your Backpack

This is the Nomad 7 Plus by Goal Zero, a solar panel does not hold a charge, but produces power when it is exposed to sunlight. While on a hike off-grid you can plug your phone directly into the panel or use it to recharge a portable recharger for later use.

The Nomad 7 Plus is ideal for recharging headlamps, phones, other smaller USB devices. It has an impressive auto restart that claims to be “smarter than anything else on the market.” It’s able to track power flow history and can differentiate between a device that has reached a fully-charged state and one that disconnects due to environmental causes, such as a lack of sunlight, shadow, solar eclipse, etc. When this disconnection is detected, it automatically reconnects the charging device.

It also comes with a detachable kickstand so you can get just the right angle to soak up the sun. Plus, it provides natural shade for charging devices as well as a vented pocket for temperature regulation.
