This Myanmar Startup Helps Companies Recycle and Track Carbon Footprint in Asia Where Plastic Pollution Is Rampant

This is Recyglo, a zero-waste and circular economy waste management and data analytics platform headquartered in Myanmar. The company works with businesses within Myanmar, Malaysia, and Singapore to improve their recycling habits, connect them with logistics and recycling facilities, and properly dispose of waste in an eco-friendly manner.

Another impactful tool that Recyglo provides is its data analytics that reveals the actual amounts of waste recycled by each business and its impact on its carbon footprint. Recyglo is reportedly managing 500 tons of waste and saving 1470 tons of CO2 per month, and has educated 800,000 people on the value and environmental impact of proper recycling.

Given that “8 of the 10 rivers with the most plastic pollution in the world are located in Asia,” Recyglo is trying its best to change that grim reality. It has also expanded its reach by providing technology for waste-to-energy, waste-to-fertilizer, and livestock, used-cooking oil recycling, recycling of “non-recyclable” plastics waste, etc.
