This Lifesaving Device Performs Mechanical Chest Compressions for an Uninterrupted CPR

Defibtech’s Lifeline ARM Automated Chest Compression (ACC) device performs mechanical chest compressions when effective manual CPR is not possible due to a shortage of personnel or during patient transport. This hands-free CPR device can be positioned quickly and gives 100 chest compressions per minute, as recommended in current AHA/ECC guidelines.

This device incorporates a high-tech compression module accompanied by a specially-designed lightweight yet solid frame. Built with an innovative motor design, the Lifeline ARM ACC device safeguards the proficient and smooth operation of the compression piston. Patients’ chest resistances differ, which must be considered when administering the device. Therefore, a smart software driven motor control algorithm provides accurate CPR rates and compression depth.

Providing effective and uninterrupted CPR is the most effective way for rescuers to save lives. Oftentimes, there are risks with manual CPR as fatigue can set in, in as little as 1-2 minutes, Defibtech notes.
