At just 26 years old, industrial engineer Guillermo Martinez has impacted many lives by making 3D-printed prosthetics free-of-charge for people living in the poorest countries. His compassionate initiative began in 2017 when he purchased a 3D printer for $172. As a pastime, he watched YouTube tutorials on building robots and other devices – and then one day it clicked.
