‘DroneHunter’ Captures Rogue Drones Just Like Spider-Man and Protects the Skies from Threats

Drones have incredible capabilities and offer us incredible vistas of the world. At the same time, drones can threaten the skies and make us vulnerable to breaches in our privacy and physical and intellectual property – and if put in the wrongs hands of a criminal or a terrorist, it can prove to be fatal.

So, Fortem Technologies created the DroneHunter, the leading, world-class interceptor drone used by the U.S. Government and Military that captures rogue drones. The DroneHunter stops dangerous and malicious drones at a safe distance before they enter a secure area (airports, stadiums, jails, etc.) where they could harm people or cause property damage.

After detecting and targeting a rogue drone that is flying too high or too fast, or is in a no-fly zone, the Dronehunter takes it down with precision using a target net or a drape net to capture it. The DroneHunter’s airborne net gun can launch up to 80mph. It’s just like Spider-man and his web! Its net tether allows for autonomous tow-away to a designated location to be further investigated.

Threats can be reported by a person, a ground radar system, or an RF system. Then that system will autonomously send a message to the DroneHunter. Then law enforcement will deploy the DroneHunter and it will capture the rogue drone on its own – no pilot or joystick needed.
